The Company of the Lynx Argent
Step into the thrilling world of yesteryear, where armor gleams, swords and spears clash, and history comes alive.
Resurrecting a knightly art
Founded in 2019, we are a group of medieval reenactors focused in the central US, with its epicenter in Oklahoma & Texas but with members across the country, from Kansas to Nebraska and Missouri and as far south as Georgia and Florida.
We aim to promote armored HEMA harnischfechten combat whenever possible, and we specialize in pairing that with a living history element, with a focus on medieval Europe in the time between 1350 and 1490.
We have grown since our founding into one of the nation's most active and largest harnischfechten groups, and every spring we host La Campaigne du Château, the nation's current largest gathering of independent living history & harnischfechten practitioners. Our fighting ruleset, the Lynx Accords, has even been adopted by the SCA to help develop its harnischfechten program.

We are not part of the SCA, EMP, SMA, or any other martial art or LARP organization, though we welcome and have welcomed members that participate in all of those. We are an independent group which fiercely advocates on directing itself from the bottom up, at the local level, rather than that activities or regulation should be directed from the top down by a "king" or a board of directors.

Living the Middle Ages
There are a wide variety of activities, hobbies, and portrayals to be found within our Company. Living history is a very broad pursuit, and it takes all kinds of people from all walks of life to make a community, so you will find pretty much any aspect of medieval life is welcomed here.

Whether you portray a knight, fighting fully-armored in a grand tournament, or a lowly foot-soldier armed and ready for battle alongside his fellows, or a yeoman archer letting arrows fly from the forest's edge, there is something for you here.

Those who live by the sword often die by it, so for those with more mild pursuits, there is never a shortage of period cooking, camping, feasting, and dancing at our events. If you are a tradesman, merchant, or artisan, show your craft or ply your trade.
